I saw this thing on TV, and knew I had to have one. It's called a Table Mate, and it works great. I put my lpatop on it so I can work on the couch (in fact, I'm using it right now). It's basically a TV-tray for the 21st century. It's a lot more sturdy than the TV trays of old, and the design lets it actually slide up to you, so you're not sitting on the edge of the couch leaning over to use it. It's a pretty nifty little device. I bought mine at Walmart, but you can get them online too, I just found out. It's a must if you like to multitask in the living room.
