IBM uses light to put a Supercomputer on a chip

Using this technology, which virtually eliminates heat problems, power usage, data loss, and allows for 100s of cores on one chip. They expect to replace the server rooms of today with the laptop of tomorrow by 2020. Expect many "Imagine a beowulf cluster" and "can it play Crysis" and "Vista *stiil* won't run fast" comments.
