Greeting cards stink

It's the holiday season with the whoop-de-do and hickory dock.... Thus sing the carolers, and i echo back a big fat whoop-de-do indeed! You know what I can't stand? Christmas Photo Cards. I mean, please, why do I want to see a picture of you and your kids in a red and green sweater in front of a snoky landscape? You live in Tulsa. You shouldn't own a sweater - much less 5 matching ones for you and the kids - and the dog. Please, do not do this. I know it's big business. I know that. I understand that companies are so desperate for you to spend hundreds of dollars sending cards to people you don't like that they'll create scholarships to make themselves seem "giving". Of course, throwing a few grand at a couple of would-be college kids is a cheap way to get positive PR.
