Learn to listen

My wife's birthday is coming up, and it just so happens to be the anniversary of our first date, (I'm so lucky that that happened - it makes it so easy to remember!) Since I know my wife, I know that jewelry, or flowers, or candy is not the way to go. She told me exactly what she wanted, and I got it. She didn't say "Buy me this for my birthday" she said, "If I was going to get one of those, this is the one I would get." You have to learn how to listen - or so I am learning.
