I think, just about everytime you change your oil, you should check your battery. It's usually free to get you battery checked, just go to AutoZone or Advanced Auto Parts or something like that. If you don't change your oil yourself, you should ask whoever's changing it to check it out for you. I mean, you don't wait until you run out of gas to fill up the tank, right? Why wait until your battery dies before you check it. Just to be safe. Batteries should last for a long time, but if you never check it, you'll never know.
