Get good luggage

A few years back, I was on a flight back home from New York City, when upon arrival I went to claim my bags, and one of my suitcases was nowhere to be found. It turns out that they had it in the unclaimed luggage department waiting for me. It was ripped apart and tapped back together with security tape because it had exploded in midflight. This would not have happened if I had used some good Samsonite luggage. Also, it might have helped if it was not overstuffed.
