A "Life" Coach?
Who really needs a life coach? I mean, seriously. The whole idea is ridiculus. Having someone to tell you how to live your life? Hogwash. How about a friend? How about a spouse? How about a minister? How about a teacher? How about a parent? Look at this site - A bio of a coach - they want you to pay them to control your life. Wow.

That was an interesting perspective, but not entirely accurate. Life coaches do NOT control people's lives or tell them what to do. As a matter of fact, it is quite the opposite. A life coach can be a guide in one's life, but never tells a client what to do. The client is always the one to determine what they want to achieve and how they will go about it. You are correct in suggesting that people attempt to speak with a friend, a spouse, a teacher or minister before hiring a coach. These people can be very helpful, but often times, there is a limit to the level of accountabilty and perspective one might experience with them.
A coach is an objective thinking and accountabilty partner who does not judge a client on their past, but focuses on today, where they would like to be in the near future and the best way go about that through action challenges and accountabilty.
